McKenzie Higham Limited is a limited liability company formed in 1999 trading as McKenzie Higham Architects (MHA) managed by founding Director Callum McKenzie and Mark McMillan.
The Directors are supported by Senior Associates Emma Alcock and Chris Evans and by Associates Mark Ansell, John MacDonald, Rex Bultitude and Dipak Patel. We are a mid-sized studio with a current staff of 26 including 11 Architects (1 with Italian Registration), 2 senior experienced graduates and a further 11 professional staff comprising graduates, and technicians.
The practice has a diverse portfolio including significant state sector experience ranging from social housing, specialist forensic medical facilities and large scale redevelopments mainly in education projects.
Our project organisational model has developed to deliver across a range of project scales and is driven by requirements for quality coordination, review and technical compliance. We are very familiar with working in compliance with third party design standards & guidelines for a range of typologies.
MHA has a strong brand and a reputation for highly professional services across all stages of project delivery. We place considerable emphasis on design and documentation quality and our work is well respected and has been rewarded by a number of NZIA Awards.
