Architect or
Experienced Architectural Graduate

Our Wellington based practice is busy and growing - we are looking to expand our Award Winning Education team.

McKenzie Higham Architects is looking for:

  • a Registered Architect or an Architectural Graduate ideally with 5-10 years' practical experience in the New Zealand building industry
  • a collaborative team player with good communication skills
  • a designer with a strong focus on quality, who is well organised and keen to be involved wherever required
  • experience in ArchiCAD would be a bonus but is not essential.

Resolve it Architects Project Lead:
Architect or Senior Architectural Designer

Our sister company Resolve it Architects is an NZIA registered practice specialising in weather-tight remediation.  Located in central Wellington  - they offer a friendly, flexible and supportive work environment with opportunities for career advancement.

They are looking for a full-time NZ Registered Architect or Senior Architectural Designer/Technician with 6+ years’ experience in the NZ market and proven ability to lead a range of projects. Weather-tight remedial work often involves enhancing the appearance of buildings so both technical and design skills are required.

If you have the following attributes, skills and experience, we would love to hear from you:

Key Attributes

  • Collaborative team player
  • Strong time management and organisational  skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good design ability
  • High level of thoroughness and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years’ industry experience in the New Zealand building industry
  • Strong CAD Skills (preferably ArchiCAD)
  • Strong Detailed Documentation experience on complex projects
  • Excellent understanding of construction techniques and technical knowledge of building materials
  • Strong understanding of NZ Building Code
  • Experience in weather-tightness detailing would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite
  • Construction observation and contract administration experience
  • Proven ability to lead projects through all stages.
