A sneak peak of a new home currently under construction on a challenging site in inner city Wellington.
A steep backyard in this established inner city heritage zone provided a rare opportunity to build a new home in a tightly held area. Located in one of New Zealand's oldest suburbs, it was essential that the design reflect the neighbourhood's character and comply with local authority design guidelines.
The contractor has made the considerable challenge of excavating and forming the building platform in a steep constrained space look easy, and the team are now enjoying the building work after a lot of preplanning and approvals.
