We are pleased to welcome John MacDonald, Mike Cronin and Jacob Rhodes-Robinson, all ex-staff members of Bulleyment Fortune Architects (BFA), to the McKenzie Higham team.
Sadly in August 2018, Denis Fortune, BFA Managing Director since 1998 died suddenly. McKenzie Higham Architects’ Director Callum McKenzie knew Denis and his practice well having worked together on a number of projects, and both having been New Zealand Architects’ Registration Board registration assessors.
The architectural practices shared a lot in common: They had related areas of experience and expertise in medical, residential and commercial projects, their client bases were very compatible and they had very similar office cultures. Both practices saw significant value in BFA joining McKenzie Higham Architects.
John, Mike and Jacob bring a combined 50 years’ of experience, with particular skills in residential mental health care and heritage building strengthening. Their skill sets are a valuable addition to the practice, extending and complementing our own.
Bullyment Fortune Architects had a rich history, having been in continuous practice since 1892. Over the years they have developed an extensive archive of architectural drawings and plans which is well worth a look.
